Hostaria del Mercato, restaurant near the Spanish Steps Rome

Hosteria del Mercato, Via Bocca del Leone, 46a

Right near the Spanish Steps yet tucked away on the quiet Via Bocca di Leone 46a, Hosteria del Mercato has been opened for a bit over a year, but guess what? They just opened up a charming food market attached to the restaurant featuring fabulous produce and other market goods: all high end and delicious.

Hosteria del Mercato offers great wine by the glass; the Alchimia Primitivo from the Puglia region's Duca di Saragnano winery we tried was delicious!

If you like truffles then you'll love this chef's special at the Hosteria del Mercato: Senatore Cappelli spaghetti with black truffle and buffalo ricotta cheese.

Tables of all sizes, simply but elegantly decorated with lots of lovely plants and greenery.

Pasta sharing is my thing so I was able to try another amazing chef's special: tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, olive oil and parsley.
