For decades I’ve pursued my passion for Italian food and culture through bespoke food tours, hands-on cooking classes, travel tips, walking tours, day trips and weeklong food holidays at charming spots throughout Italy.
I’ve lived most of my life overseas, mainly in Rome, Italy. My love for Italy and its Mediterranean lifestyle and cuisine, led me to form Flavor of Italy.
I’m a self-trained chef and my culinary skills were enhanced and refined by courses at Rome’s Città del Gusto, Gambero Rosso, and the Roman Cooking School in Anguillara north of Rome.
When I’m not teaching or leading tours I’m out and about with the locals who share their unique stories and food skills with me. I pass this all on to you in my classes and tours, website, newsletter, podcast and social media.
I’ve appeared on national television and radio, both in the United States and Italy. I was honored to have participated in the launch of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Chefs Move to Schools Program, and on that occasion I visited the White House Garden.
I also bring a solid business background to the table at Flavor of Italy. Before pursuing my lifelong passion in the food sector, I was a vice president in international banking, and the owner and founder of a baby products company.
