    Tasting China with IACP in Flushing, NY

    The IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals) annual conference in NYC is proving to be amazing, with eye opening and mouth-watering food experiences. Case in point: today's Tasting China day-long food tour extravaganza in Flushing, New York's Chinatown, just a 30 minute subway ride from midtown Manhattan.

    We sampled regional specialties from Taiwan, Shanghai, Shandong, Sichuan and Lanzhou at a variety of restaurants and the New World Mall's food court. Mostly delicious, some curious, some stinky, all fun and adventurous.

    No, this picture is not penne with greens—although it looks just like it! It's a dish from the Shandong province known as Sea Intestine. It's not intestine either, but rather an aquatic worm that grows in abundance around the Yellow Sea region, and is now served all over the northeast coast of China.
