Start a New Bucket List for your Trip to Italy – Podcast Episode 10

Wine Tasting with Bella Giornata Tours

You may be thinking it’s too early to start a new bucket for your trip to Italy, but it’s actually the perfect time. Yesterday Italy opened up after months of lockdown, including churches and museums, so it’s the perfect time to get a jump on your Italy travel plans.

Visit breathtaking historical monuments with Irene on her Bella Giornata Tours

Irene Quinn from the Bella Giornata Tours is a perfect place to start and should be at the top of your new bucket list for your trip to Italy. Her tours are unique and hand-crafted for each client. Whatever you do with her you know that it’s tried and tested and delightful down to the very last detail. In today’s podcast episode “Do this to Start a New Bucket List for your Trip to Italy – Episode 10” I chat with Irene about her tours, and about the wine side of her business. Irene is a trained wine expert and can guide you through a tasting extravaganza of Italy’s best, and often lesser known, great wines.

Here’s the view from  an Amalfi coast mountain top hike with Bella Giornata Tours. In addition to Irene’s website contact her directly via email (irene@bellagiornatatours.com) and find her on Facebook, Twitter (@iq_BellaGTours) and Instagram (@quinn.irene).

Some of Irene’s Amalfi coast tours include a visit to the charming coastal town of Vietri where you can purchase beautiful hand-painted ceramics like these.

Irene studied wine at The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), and also at https://italianwinecentral.com  where she obtained her IWP certification as an Italian Wine Professional.

We chatted today about a few wines you might wish to explore further: Amarone, Franciacorta and Super Tuscans.

Don’t you wish you could buy a great bottle of wine and just drink a glass or two of it per day, without it going bad? Then you absolutely MUST use the Coravin wine system that lets you pour a glass at a time WITHOUT removing the cork! I can’t recommend the Coravin system enough – it’s a must!

And for those of you who struggle with opening a wine bottle manually try this electric wine opener.

If you have leftover red wine then use it to make these delicious Red Wine Cookies.

For those of you who are simply looking for a day trip from Rome take a look at these options, like a day trip to Bologna. All great ideas to add to your new bucket list for your trip to Italy.

Portico Casa Berti, Piazza Santo Stefano, Bologna

Or perhaps a Day (& Overnight) Trip to the beautiful island of Capri.
And if you’re looking for ideas on what to do in Rome here are a few ideas.
An opera in Rome is a great option!
